#CheeseandLavosh for Cancer Research Fundraising
We recently enjoyed a delicious Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea with the Kurrajong Kitchen family and a few of our neighbours.
“This event has become an important part of our year,” Karen Lebsanft, co-founder of Kurrajong Kitchen says. “We feel a responsibility towards both our community and the business world, to do what we can to support those who are struggling with cancer, as well as their loved ones.”
Karen goes on to explain that amongst the Kurrajong Kitchen family, there are many people who’ve been affected by cancer. “Unfortunately, cancer is something which has had an impact, to different levels, on just about all of us. So if there’s an opportunity for us to raise money for research and to also help increase awareness by talking about this topic over a cup of tea and a gorgeous cheese and Lavosh platter, we definitely see this as a worthwhile thing to do.”
“It’s also a great excuse to catch up with some of our neighbours!” she adds with a laugh.
Australia’s Biggest Morning tea is an annual event raising money for The Cancer Council. Each year, thousands of Australians gather around tables laden with delicious food to celebrate, remember and raise funds for cancer research. For more information, visit biggestmorningtea.com.au.
